My four year old has discovered pistachios. However, her tiny fingers aren’t yet strong enough to open the shells to enjoy the green nut inside.
What I find fascinating is that every time she sits down to eat some, she first tries to open them herself before she tells me that she can’t do it and asks for help. It would appear that she knows someday she will be able to open them, even though she has never opened one before.
I want to be like her when I grow up… believing I can until I do.
